Sailor Moon Stuff
Saturday, 16 August 2014 17:33 I just watched the fourth episode of Sailor Moon Crystal and it was so good! There was a moment at the end of the episode and it made me fangirl. It has never happened in the twenty plus years of Sailor Moon. The four generals appeared together for the first time, it was a magical moment. However, it is also causing some issues.
I love Tumblr, but sometimes the people on there make me want to pull my hair out. Twenty-two years ago when the author of Sailor Moon first created the series, she drew this picture.
This is a picture of the four generals with the Inner senshi. They were suppose to be together in the manga but for some reason it never happened. And now I am hearing that some of the stuff that never happened in the manga will happen in the new series. And one of the things might be the Senshi/General pairings.
Some people on Tumblr aren't happy about this. One person said that if the make the Senshi/General pairings canon then they should make rape on the show canon too. I think that is taking it a little too far. The generals could merely be brainwashed puppets and might have actually loved the girls and the girls might have actually loved them. None of the generals have done anything that would be rape or rape like to the girls, even in the manga. We will have to wait and see what happens.
Another post I saw was about shipping the girls with the generals is just "straight-washing" them. People can ship whoever they want and shouldn't have to deal with judgemental assholes. It's getting kind of annoying.
But on to more important things. I am working on a Sailor Moon fanfic, my first one in a long time. Sadly, though it is kicking my ass. I think I have a good idea but then it gets away from me. I still plan on writing it though.
